About Dee and THE MAGIC OF LARLION

 Dee Maltby, author of WIZARD STONE, WIZARD WIND, WIZARD STORM, WIZARD SEARCH, WIZARD QUEST, WAYWARD WIZARD & WILD WIZARD, has given birth to a slew of wizards, sorceresses, ice dragons, giant kalting cats and of course, a magical sword while raising five kids. A lifelong writer, artist, baseball fan, advocate for differently abled education, and sometime freelancer for local publications, Dee lives in Ohio and speaks several languages. She’s traveled the world with her scientist inventor husband, Bob Maltby, while inventing the world of her fantasy series, The Magic of Larlion.

Hollis Maltby, Dee’s proud daughter and co-writer of books 5-8, is also a TV, film and stage actor who plays powerful women and fights with swords. She was a recurring guest star Judge on CBS’ Bull, was the President of Ireland on Blue Bloods, a Senator in House of Cards, and has played major roles off-Broadway, at the Old Globe, and in Shakespeare plays nationwide. Born in rural Ohio, she’s lived all over the country and specializes in comedy and dialects. She’s narrated more than 250 audiobooks, including books 1-3 of the Larlion series, plays a mean game of softball, and is a die-hard Cleveland baseball fan.
